Kim Beamish is an Australian film maker who is currently making a crowd-funded documentary about the tentmakers. Kim's film is titled The Tentmakers of Chareh El-Khiamiah and it is anticipated that the film will be released in 2014.
The work of Dr Sam Bowker, Lecturer in Art History and Visual Culture at Charles Sturt University has also been accessed. Dr Bowker is currently curating an exhibition in Wagga Wagga, titled Khayamiya: Khedival to Contemporary which spans work from the late Ottoman period to the present day. The exhibition will travel Australia.
